This PCB is designed with additional cuts to allow you to gummy o-ring mount without having to modify your 60% case or file your PCB. 

Comes in USB-C and JST compatible with Universal daughterboard version.

• single flex-cut mounting tab under the spacebar to ensure PCB can't "fall out" under extreme circumstances (I don’t recommend cutting fr4, but if done safely, the cut-out area is made large enough that the tab could be removed and the case post shouldn’t interfere with the pcb)

• possible to use screw-in stabilizer for spacebar (refer to build guide)

 

Note: we have noticed many customers are confused regarding what JST breakout means. It means that the PCB does not have a USB C port directly soldered on, but instead breaks out the USB port onto a separate board (called the daughter board). So, both options are USB C except one has the port soldered on and the other as it on a separate part.

JST breakout is advantageous because the USB port location on a keyboard case is not required to be fixed to a particular location such as the left side of the keyboard. It also reduces the likelihood that your PCB will be unfunctional due to the separation.

The footprints for both a JST port and a a USB C port are present on both of the models, but each has only one option pre-soldered on.

THE ULTIMATE 60% PCB

BIO Instruments' quad cut 60% PCBs are designed to offer the most features a PCB can offer at a fair price. These PCBs feature flex cuts, which soften the bottom out feeling typically experienced with "harder" builds (for example: tray mount, top mount with a steel or brass plate....). 

MAXIMUM FLEX

These quad flex cut PCBs introduce a flex cut between each row of the PCB to maximize the soft and bouncy typing effect sought after from premium custom keyboards.

MULTI-LAYOUT SUPPORT

Whether it's hot swap or soldered, these PCBs are sure to support your preferred 60% layout. Clever hot swap socket placement allows for ISO support, split right shift, split spacebar, 7U bottom row, 6.25U bottom row, and split backspace- no soldering required!

Need a soldered version for added sturdiness? The soldered version will support the same layouts. 

MULTI-CASE SUPPORT

The majority of keyboard cases are designed around the dimensions of the classic Poker and GH60 60% PCBs. If your keyboard uses this standard PCB size, you will be able to use this PCB with it. 

You can use the supplied daughterboard (designed around the Ai03 daughterboard standard) and JST cable, or the on-board left side USB C port.
